Would you stay in an unhappy marriage for your kids?

I’m just curious how many people would goose to stay with someone when you’re both unhappy for the sake of your kids growing up with their parents under one roof... I have an ex who’s parents did this and it was a very interesting family dynamic, and he said he’d do the same, so I was just curious

Nope. I watched my aunt do it and it was awful. They finally got divorced after almost 30 years of marriage that never should have happened.

in a way. but I think if you made the commitment to be married you're committed on trying to make the marriage work and caring about the happiness of your partner. I don't believe in divorce bc you're unhappy. you made a commitment you both need to work on. and it's especially important if you have kids to make it work

Heck no I still wish my parents would of broke up I would of preferred that over seeing them fight like cats and dogs everyday even to this day if I’m around them and they bicker I get ptsd cuz of it my siblings and I all moved out at 18 to get away from the drama don’t ever have your kids live watching you hate eachother

As a kid my parents were fighting all the time and it’s was usually bc my dad cheated and then they got back together after 6 months. But the fighting continued and AS A KID I wished they’d just get a divorce. 🤷🏻‍♀️ it’s sad but true. You should never stay in a unhappy marriage just for the kids. They pick up on the stress and they don’t need it.
