How often should you have sex on your fertile week???

My periods are pretty normal with the exception of being off by maybe two days from one month to the next. I have heard that you should only have sex every other day to allow a good amount of sperm to build up. I am wondering how often this week we should be trying?

Everyother day my doctors says because if you do have sex everyday by day 3 there's nothing good left.

I actually didn't know this advice. Worrying now that we've messed this month up now. We have had intercourse 3 evenings in a row. Not going to have any tonight as we can't be bothered and I apparently ovulate tomorrow. Will tomorrow evening be any good? X
