African American Mommies please help. I need tips for my daughters hair

My daughter was born with a head full of hair. But she had cradle cap so bad . I managed to get it completely gone in the back by just using olive oil before shampooing her hair. But for some reason the front of her hair is more of a challenge to get out . And I don't see any progress of hair growth using the olive oil . Now it's starting to inch her so bad in the front that she's pulling her hair out . Her edges are gone ! I was thinking about using Jamaican black castor oil to help with hair growth . And start using coconut oil to pull the cradle cap up . I was using aveeno shampoo but now I switched to shea moisture shampoo. My daughter is three months old.
