How often should parents go out with friends?

My boyfriend and I had our baby two months ago. Ever since the baby has come home, he’s gone out with friends at least once every two weeks and leaves the baby with me. Since I’m a SAHM, I’m home with her all day every day. Not that I mind, but it’s nice to have a break sometimes. I haven’t been out with friends once and it kind of bothers me that he goes out so often. 
Am I overreacting? Is this an appropriate amount to go out with friends? It wouldn’t bother me as much if I got a break sometimes (because, let’s be honest, being a SAHM is exhausting) but i don’t. It’s always him going out. 
Even if I did leave sometimes, I still feel that once every two weeks is too often when there’s a baby at home. What do you guys think?

You should be going out alone and together. I don’t think getting out every other week is crazy. Have you asked him to watch baby so you can go do something?

Me and my SO get out on the weekends (Sometimes seperateland sometimes together), at night after our son is asleep, most weekends. Its important to take time not only for yourself, but for your relationship. If you need to get out, say so.

One night every few weeks? I think that’s a totally reasonable amount of time to see friends after a baby. It’s good that he’s maintaining adult friendships. You should do the same!

I’m a SAHM and my hubby is gone two weeks at a time for work. So we both go out together when we do. We have two kids and a very supportive family that will watch them for us so we can enjoy each other. Every relationship is different, we choose to go out together but it could be because we are apart for 2 weeks. I d k how it would be if we saw each other everyday 😅 but on a serious note if you feel like you need some time out tell him.

That seems very reasonable.  Ask him to stay home so you can go out one night.  It has to go both ways in order to work.  Becoming a parent changes everything but you can still go out and have fun

I have two children age 1 and 2 my partner let’s me go out once a Friday with my mate drinking and letting my hair down he hates going out and knows I have them all week so he is cool with that but defo deserve some time out he needs to allow you the time to be with girl mates being a Mum is hard and stressful speak to him it works both ways you need a break to

You should need to be getting a break.  It’s fine that he goes out like that as long as you get to to.  Talk to him.  Sahm moms at on 24/7.  We need a break. He doesn’t work 24/7.  I had to explain it like that to my husband. He was very good at will lo needs you.  I told him no you are home I taking a break. He doesn’t need to eat you are taking care of him.  I don’t gets breaks like I would like.  But I have school to days a week. Y husband likes will that is your break not thinking about that it’s not a break.  But whatever. All he does is work and take care of our lo.  So not going to say anything.

we have gone out together a total of 4 times in 4 years alone..( we do not get support from our families ) and yes its always together... were both happy.. I do not see a point in go out with friends without each other separately
