How long is ok to wait?

Question

When your partner ask for a break, how long is good to wait for him/her? 
Note: is not a marriage and there is no kids involve. Is a 1 yr and a half relationship. And they are engaged. They had an argument but it was not a huge-bad one...there was not cheating at all.

i wouldn't marry someone who uses the "breaks" approach to fighting. when you live with someone, breaks aren't reasonable. you've got to deal with the problems and talk about them, not hide from each other.
