What are your guys experiences with the IUD?? What should I expect if I chose to get one...

its great! i had mirena. no period for 5 years...just hurt like hell going in...and kinda hurt when it came out. i pretreated with percocet.

IUD’s are amazing! Only hurt being put in and having cramps for maybe a week after. Other than that, I loved it! I plan on getting it again after my son is born. :)

Ive had the copper IUD back in 1999 had unprotected sex same night it was inserted and didn’t get pregnant till I removed it in 2007. My period stayed the same and had no pelvic or stomach issues. Now, I have heard that the new IUD’s that release hormones have a different effect.
