Is coffee okay to drink during pregnancy?

I just got my BFP yesterday and I am beginning to question what I should and shouldn't be doing. I love coffee but is it safe to drink everyday while pregnant? I only have about 2 cups a day

I avoided caffeint completely in the first 12 weeks (including cutting down on chocolate) but I have 1 or 2 cups of tea a day now that I'm 18 weeks

Yes its fine, but the first three months of pregnancy are incredibly important for your babies development and caffeine inhibits vitamin absorption. Avoid it for now, and introduce it later. Try to limit yourself to one cup a day when you do. Congrats on your bfp!

I stayed away from it my first trimester because I had a cup and it just tasted like chemicals. So I figured no use drinking it for the time being if it's going to taste bad. Started craving it again towards the middle of my second trimester. I have one cup a day, that's all I've ever had. My mom though- she drank 4-5 cups a day when pregnant with both me and my brother and my brother is 6'8 & I'm 5'8. Healthy as a horse. Moderation is key

Talk with your doctor. Mine said one cup of regular coffee a day is fine but none is best. Be aware of other sources of caffeine like chocolate and sodas and that things like Starbucks coffee is espresso and higher in caffeine.
