Baking soda Douche

I read online douching can reduce ttc by 30%. I’m being seen by a fertility clinic and have a 23mm follicle which they believe will release on Friday. They told me to douche tomorrow (Thursday) because my cervical mucus is not abundant I’m kind of dry but I’m scared it will reduce my chances to conceive even more! Help... should I do it or no?
