What term do you use for a 4 year old?

I’ve noticed several (US based) posts on here where women refer to their four year olds as toddlers, and since I’m not from the US originally I’m wondering if this is a standard term over here? Thanks ladies!

Infants are 0-12 months and a toddler is 12-36 months. 3-4 year olds are preschoolers. No one should be calling their 4 year old a toddler haha

The American Academy of Pediatrics considers a 4 year old to be no longer a toddler, but a preschool aged child.
