Clomid and Femara didn't work

I need a little encouragement here. I tried both Clomid and femara and neither worked. I have pcos and I have a ton of follicles on each ovary but they never matured enough to complete my femara/ovidrel cycle. I have so many follicles that my doctor doesn't want to do injections unless I do IVF because of risk of multiples. Unfortunately, we just cannot afford IVF right now. My doctor said if I lost 40 lbs, I could try the femara again. Has anyone done this? Had Clomid or femara not work but lost weight and had success?
