Right after my c section I got a terrible spinal headache. Hospital staff kept blaming it on sleep deprivation and did not diagnose it. A few days after being home, I ended up at the ER and was diagnosed with the spinal headache. Every anesthesiologist there did not want to perform the blood patch procedure and kept encouraging me to wait it out and let it heal on its own for a few more days. Finally 3 weeks postpartum the headache lingered away (praise God). It was the worst pain, worse than the c section wound pain. I just want to encourage all you mommas out there struggling with a spinal headache. Don’t be afraid to seek help. If you’re being told to wait too, be patient and give yourself grace. You just birthed a beautiful baby and you’re having to heal from a major surgery. Let friends and family know you’d be blessed by help. ❤️ I hope you’re surrounded by love and support.
