Dark brown spotting at 5 weeks, anybody NOT have a miscarriage??

I had my HCG and progesterone checked last week Thursday and Saturday and it looked good. Yesterday i had some cramping but it was pretty mild. Today I woke up at 4:30am with dark brown spotting when I wiped and checked inside.  I have not had intercourse lately. Anybody have this type of spotting at 5 weeks and NOT miscarry? I’ll of course call my Dr when they open!

I had spotting from pink and red to dark brown between 5-7 weeks and a scan at 7+3 and there was a heartbeat. Good luck x

I did.  Several ultrasounds later, strong heartbeats and my twins are just fine.  I’m at 10 weeks now, brown spotting started around 5w and continued to 8w.  I actually had a hematoma.  It sounds scary but most of  the time you get a little spotting and the body absorbs it in a few weeks.   This could be one explanation for what you’re experiencing, an ultrasound would tell you.  Know that a little brown spotting with no associated pain happens and is likely okay, but check in with your Dr.

I had the same! Brown/pink spotting from 5 weeks to nearly 8 weeks and had 2 scans and baby is fine. Nearly 10 weeks now and it’s stopped. Hope it stays that way and good luck to you too ! 💛

I had brown discharge for 2 weeks  (from 5 to 7) and am now 16 weeks and so far, so good.  Call the doc and see what they say.

I’m 6 weeks and 4 days and just experienced some this morning.
