Labor! Yes, please share!?

Question

Baby Ethan, who was due on April 6 arrived on his own on March 29 (1 week and 1 day early) by natural vaginal delivery.
I started small contractions around 6ish and headed to the hospital around 8.  He was born at 9:23.  I will take that labor ANYTIME!

The day started off funky because I woke up with a Charlie Horse(cramp) in my right calf at 8am. I got up to pee for the second time that morning at 10:30 am. Once I got back in bed from peeing I felt a small flush of water and thought I had peed my pants. No biggie being 36 weeks pregnant it happens. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I was getting small contractions every 30 minutes but I just thought they were Braxton Hicks since they weren’t unbearable. I went to lunch with my sister at 1 and then went to Target right after to get some baby stuff. I called my OBGYN’s office to ask them about what was going on because I kept ‘peeing’ my pants throughout the day and now I was spotting. They told me the nurse would call me back soon. 2 hours later I’m at the zoo and they call me and ask me to come in within the next 10 minutes because they’re about to stop seeing patients. I’m 25 minutes away and they just said well if you feel like the contractions get worse or the bleeding heavier go to Labor and Delivery. We leave the zoo like 45 minutes later and go to get frozen yogurt and then to my moms house. I had a burrito at my moms then decided I needed a shower and went home showered and took an hour nap only to wake up to strong contractions. We go to the hospital and the nurse that’s checking everything said I really needed to prove I was in labor or if the test that they did to see if my water broke came back positive then they would induce me since I was 36 weeks. Turns out my water broke and they induced me. They started the pitocin at 12:15 and I was ready to push by 12:45 with no epidural. My mom was in the room and when I said I was ready to push she said no I doubt that. She called the nurse and she checked me and said no she’s ready. So she called the doctor he checked me and went to do some paperwork while I was doing the practice pushing and then 20 minutes later I had her. My mom and the head nurse were impressed with my time of delivery and that I had my first baby without an epidural. All the nurses joked about my busy day of being in labor and just kind of not thinking about being in labor haha

I had been having really uncomfortable Braxton Hicks since 36 weeks and I was already dilated 2 cm. At 37 weeks I was dilated 3 cm so we thought it would be any day. My first child I had 3 weeks early so my doc said it was likely I would have my second early too. Friday March 2nd (38 weeks 2 days) I went in for my weekly non-stress test (I have Hashimotos hypothyroid so this was just routine at my doc office) and the nurse told me that the doc wanted to induce me around 39 weeks because the baby was measuring in the 90th percentile and they didn’t want her getting too big, this was based on a growth ultrasound I had 3 days prior. I was so upset because I did not want to be induced, I wanted to have my baby as naturally as possible like I did with my first. I thought it was unnecessary to induce me because of a growth ultrasound that was just estimating the size of baby. My doc is well known for doing inductions a lot. So, that night I cried to my hubby about induction and I went out and got a yoga ball to bounce on to try and help get labor going naturally since I was already 3 cm. Well, my little girl felt my stress and at 5 am March 3rd I woke up to contractions. I could talk through them at this point but they were pretty consistent. I called my Doula and let her know. I labored at home until 5 pm then I decided we should go to the hospital because contractions were 3-4 min apart and my pain was intensifying so I knew I was probably in active labor. When they checked me in triage I was 5 cm and 80 % effaced so they admitted me. My water broke at 7 cm. Things moved so quickly with this birth compared to my first. It was also much more intense than my first birth experience. I chose not to have any meds for the pain just like with my first child. My body was involuntarily pushing before the doc got there and I was screaming for the doc to come in because I thought baby was going to come right out. Well it only took 2-3 pushes and she was out. Scarlett Grace was born at 10:05pm on March 3rd. She was 8 lbs and 19 inches. I did tear a tiny bit but luckily the recovery wasn’t too bad. I’m so happy that I didn’t have to get induced.

I was induced at 37 weeks and 3 days. I went to the hospital at 6:30 Friday morning. They started pitocin at 9 am. Contractions were not terrible. I got an epidural at 11. Things were great at that point. Around 1 or 2, my epidural started to wear off and I could feel the contractions in my butt. The nurses didn’t believe me. Finally after an hour of tears and complaining they gave me a bolus shot in my epidural which worked wonders! They had to give me the extra shots about every hour. I still wasn’t dilating, but 5 pm I was only a 4. (I was a one when I went in). They came in and stretched me, started changing my positioning just trying to get me dilated. FINALLY around 10pm I was dilated to a good 9. My doctor came in and I started pushing around 11. Babies head wouldn’t go past my pelvis. My epidural had completely worn off at this point so I could feel all of the pushing. They tried using forceps and still nothing. Finally at 11:45 I said I was done pushing. I was exhausted and in pain and i wasn’t getting enough oxygen. Thankfully baby was great through all of this. They took me in for a c section, which showed the baby was stuck in my pelvis and he would have never come out vaginally. Baby boy arrived at 12:07 Saturday morning March 24 💙

I was 11 days over due and my LO was also born the 29th!! 
but I was induced at 9am the 28th, water broke at 10pm, starting getting contractions, and finally he came out 24 hours later around 8:11am! 
and I totally needed the drugs 😂
