How did your membrane sweep go?

Membrane sweep scheduled for next Thursday at 8am. I’m 3cm and 75%. -2. My question is, how did your experience go? Did it hurt? Did it jump start labor and how soon?

I had mine at 39+1 on a Thursday and it didn’t hurt at all. I only had a little bit of cramping and spotting afterwards and the next day on Friday nothing... but then the day after that I woke up with contractions at 4am on Saturday and our sweet boy cam 14 hour and 15 min later! So I think it did the job! I was told by my doctor unless your body is ready and on the verge of labor anyway- it won’t work.

I’m waiting until I’m overdue next week to have one done. My midwife offered yesterday, but nah, I would rather wait for after due date.

i had mine done on tuesday(3rd) at 4:30pm.i was about 3cm. my due date was yesterday (april 4th) i felt pretty crampy afterwards about 16 hours later i started losing my mucus plug. last night my contractions started around 12:30am and my water broke at 4:30 am. currently in L&D; waiting for my little one. so it took about more than 24 hours for me but it did the job!

Painless. Didn’t go into labor for 17 days after and had it at 38 and 39 weeks

I had mine done yesterday morning..
I was 2 cm dilated, 75% effaced and -2 station. 
The sweep itself was not bad (imo- I didn’t even know it was done, I thought the dr was still just checking my cervix🤷🏼‍♀️) 
Afterwards I was fairly crampy, and I’ve lost a good bit of my mucus plug (but I’ve been losing it for 2+ weeks) 
So far no spotting or bleeding, only very crampy and having sporadic contractions and it’s been 24 hours..

I had mine done on tuesday, I was fairly dilated (not sure how much, she didn't say) and 30% effaced, and so far no baby :( I'm not having cramps or spotting, and I'm not even losing pieces of my plug. For a few weeks I was at least losing some clear pieces, but nothing now. It was uncomfortable, but just breathe and relax, and hope whoever is doing it is swift lol
