Brown periods?!?

Are brown periods actually a thing? The past two months I’ve started my period with 3-4 days of heavy brown discharge. Has anyone experienced the same thing?

I had that and it was low progesterone issues. It could also mean some type of infection. I would go to the doctor if you can.

My periods are almost always brownish and in my case it’s definitely a low progesterone thing. 
If it bugs you or comes with other symptoms like irregular cycles or hair in non feminine places you might wanna see about getting some blood labs ordered by your gyno.
