Fevers
My son is 2 months old and has had a slight fever since yesterday. Today it has spiked to 100.7 so I called the pediatrician and they scheduled an appointment for a little under 3 hours away. However they weren’t really concerned about because he wasn’t screaming and crying in pain. He only wants to cuddle on me (not sure if that’s okay when he has a fever but it keeps him sleeping, calm and happy) He did get vaccines on Monday but when they gave them they said he shouldn’t have any issues after 48 hours. They didn’t even want to schedule him an appointment for his fever but because he’s not eating properly they said they would. For the record he barely eats at feedings and yesterday he puked twice. Has anyone else had issues with a pediatrician not being as concerned as you’d like? When I took him home from the hospital they told me any fever over 100.4 is an immediate trip to the hospital so I’m just really confused since the pediatrician isn’t concerned at all??
