When your non-mom friend complains to you about a rough night of sleep

I TRIED SO HARD NOT TO LAUGH lol. I know that just because I'm mom tired doesn't mean other people can't experience being tired, but God I do want to strangle my friends who they complain that they only got 8 HOURS OF SLEEP. My son is 18 months old and has NEVER slept through the night. I have not gotten more than 4 hours of consecutive sleep in two years between him and pregnancy.

yes and no. I used to get terrible sleep before kids. I'd lay away at night, wake up multiple times. Worry, stress, uncomfortable bed. Now that I have 1 y.o twins they tore me out enough that once I hit the pillow I'm out. I get 8 hrs of sleep.. I'd get more but I like "me" time after the go to bed. They sleep 11-12 hrs a night so I would be lieing if I said I don't sleep. I think I get better sleep now than before. I hate getting woken but..

People do still sleep badly when they don’t have babies. I have a 4 month old and sometimes sleep great, but there are times before I had her that I had really bad insomnia, they were much worse times then now! 😊

My best friend is single and doesn't have kids yet. She's a few years younger than me, actually so she's still in college (earning her masters). I'll sometimes have a rough night with my daughter due to teething and if I mention it to my friend, she instantly compares it to her cat that knocked something off the table in the middle of the night...like "omg I know how you feel! I woke up to my cat knocking a book of my desk last night and it's so horrible. I'm so tired" 🙄😂 it always make me laugh. BUT 95% of the time, I easily sleep better with a 10 month old than my friends do without kids. We all get 9 hours of straight sleep in our home. So I'm not complaining haha
