How to survive deployment?

Husband is leaving for a year in less than a month. I have a newborn and am worried I can't do it on my own. Any tips/advice?

Answer

First, start thinking you can, and let your baby and husband be the reason why you can, just try to stay busy and positive. My husband left for 9 months the day after  we came home from the hospital and trust me, you'll be busy with your baby. Make multiple countdowns (half way mark, when to decorate, ect)  I wrote my husband everyday and had as many phone calls /video chats as possible and did a few care packages with pictures, hand prints and all that.
