HELP birth control

So I had my boy 6 weeks and 4 days ago, I started my birth control 4 days and everyday I take it at 1:30pm well my baby had his needles and was super unsettled all day and I ofcourse forgot about my birth control until 9:00pm that night now I know I took it very late, I'm using condoms anyway but I'm confused seeing as I did take it so late and is only the first week do I count 7 days from today? Until I'm protected seeing as I messed up. I now have an alarm set to ensure this doesn't happen again
