when planning your wedding to ones that married or getting married. did you cry a lot & get upset people keep telling me I shouldn't expect it to be perfect but I just want things to be planned how I like !!

I cried because my mother is dead and I didn't have her opinion about things like I wanted but not about the actual planning stuff some things you just gotta take into stride

Ugh even a small wedding can be stressful. We maybe had 50 people?  We had to change the plans like 2weeks before because we went from family only to well this person is a really good friend and thus person will be upset if they're not invited.  So instead of 20people (which is all the location permitted) we ended up with 50. We had to make the ceremony family only and have everyone else come to the reception. 
My husband's band also tried to book a show the evening of our wedding. And kept telling me what they would do if it was their wedding.  I had to tell them ut wasn't their wedding and it was rude to even ask that my husband play the night of our wedding.
I said I wasn't going to be bridezilla, but it came out a little bit because of the people who weren't even part of the wedding or contributing funds for our wedding trying to change my wedding plans.

I had a Momzilla who made my life a living hell during my engagement. It really hurt and I cried a lot because I always imagined it to be a fun time planning my wedding with my mom. But nope, the entire 6 months of planning and about 6 months after our wedding she was a complete Momzilla. 5 years later is still kind of weird about our marriage, and it still causes a lot of stress and I cry about it. I wish my mom was kinder to my husband, it's not fair to him.

It's not going to be perfect. Something is not going to go right. It's going to be ok though. Life isn't perfect. Don't be too hard on yourself. It's a whole lot of planning for a day that's going to go by really fast. My best advice is just enjoy every second of your special day and don't get upset if something doesn't go as planned. Try and be in the moment and really just experience everything. And smile. And if something goes wrong, laugh. My husband and I both messed up on our vows and and everyone laughed.. and we laughed.. My champagne glass spilled all over my table and got on my dress, my photographers assistant pretended to throw up in the bathroom at the reception (my friend heard her talking to her friend on the phone in the bathroom) so she could go to a friends party and I only had one photographer the whole wedding.. My DJ didn't respect our wishes and decided to take it upon himself to ask all the groomsmen to put on a show for me in the middle of the wedding.. we just went with it.. NO MATTER WHAT, it is what you make it. Better to be happy than to cry over things that really don't matter in the end. As long as you leave married it was a perfect day.

I'm not expecting perfection but I have gotten really fed up with people trying to make the wedding what they want instead of letting me and my fiance make it what we want it to be. It's caused some tear shed yes. Everything from his family complaining about it not being held in a church, to the dress, food, the money basically everything lol. Yeah it gets stressful.

That's exactly why I didn't want to plan every single detail of the day to a tee. It never goes perfectly and it's not worth getting that upset over. Make a list of the most important aspects to you, focus on making those perfect, and then try not to stress on the rest. The truth is when everything is said and done the day is a blur anyway and your mind won't even be able to wrap itself around everything happening around you! Plus no one but you knows what's in your head so no matter how things go it will look perfect to everyone in attendance 😏

I stressed way more than I needed to when I planned my wedding, and it was a pretty small wedding! No more than 50 people! Now when I look back on it, I think "damn...why did I stress so much?"

Sounds like you have just a touch of the bridezillas.  Maybe take a deep breath and try hard to remember nothing about that day matters as long as you are married by the end of it.  Really, i promise, that is the only important part.  If nothing goes as you plan, and it rains, your dress dont fit, the groom pukes, i dont care,if you are married by the end of it it will be the perfect day.

Plan for what you want but you need to be prepared for things not to go as planned (it's life). If nothing goes right (my whole day went wrong) you should still have the best day ever because you married your best friend. Flower, music, weather, seating charts don't matter and aren't the point of the wedding. Do your best to plan for what you want but when the day comes you just have to let ago and be at peace with what happens
