Did you use Lupron in your FET cycle?

I opted out of this and was questioned today by a bitchy doctor why I didn’t choose to do that to keep me from spontaneously ovulating. Now I’m wondering if I’m taking a big risk here. Thoughts?

I am doing estrogen and will add in progesterone to prepare for FET. I was worried about spontaneously ovulating, but they told me that it would be suppressed by what I am taking.

My RE does only medicated FET’s but he is available for transfer 7 days a week.  He said we will do estrogen patches till lining is thick enough,  then PIO shots until lining is 11mm to do transfer.  He said no O will be happening with this scenario and it’s much less stress vs worrying about when exactly I O etc.  So I am confused with what you were told.

I think doing a cycle without suppressing ovulation is a “natural” cycle and they have to monitor you more closely to note exactly when you ovulate so they can plan the transfer 5 days later. Because it’s unpredictable, this can happen on a weekend, which means your regular doctor may not be able to do the transfer and an on call doctor would have to do it instead. So that may be why they tried to insist on a medicated cycle. From what I read, a natural cycle should have similar success rates to medicated, so good luck!
