Fertile Window?

Question

So, I am trying to become more aware and have more knowledge of what my body is doing and going through; and I happen to see on my notifications that my Fertile Window has ended, and I was hoping someone could explain what the fertile window is.

Answer

The fertile window is a week around ovulation where you are the most likely to conceive. Since sperm can survive inside of you for around 5 days, that means that if you have sex within the 5 days before ovulation, you're more likely to get pregnant, then you have day of ovulation, when your egg is released, and the day after ovulation, when the egg starts to die, after then you're less likely to conceive. That being said, ovulation is a guesstimate unless you are religiously tracking it, and it can change from month to month, so you should always assume there's a possibility of having a viable egg, and that pregnancy can occur
