I also just wanted to note that the test line doesn't always show a steady progression from light to dark as you move towards ovulation. Some women have that happen, but not all.

So how do you test for ovulation when you have PCOS? I have it and tried testing yesterday because I am spotting cramping and have bad backaches... my period was two weeks ago. I am confused.

UPDATE.

I tested again today morning will test again later this evening but the line is definitely getting lighter in color and depth. And this is what I experienced during my last cycle. Althrough out my 'fertile days' I had what seemed to me  negatives. I always get middle pain around when I 'O' but now I'm just confused as ever. Is it possible to have fertile cm yet not be ovulating...I guess so huh? I want to start taking Vitex in hopes it'll help me but afraid it'll screw me up

I've read that it's better to test in the evening versus morning, it makes a difference. But in this case it looks like you already ovulated.

If I had to guess, you had your surge already that's why the line started darker and is now getting lighter.
