Acrylic nails at 13??

My mom says she first got them when she was 16 and says they destroy your nails but my dads girlfriend says she says there is some dip method thing that doesn’t ruin your nails that much so what do y’all think 🤔 I don’t want them long just about this length but with a nude or white color polish

Also if I do get acrylic nails I want this shape and size but should I get a pinky nude or a white with glitter or no glitter?? Any tips or stuff like that
