Bed rest at 31 weeks 😢

Sarah

I made a previous post a few days ago about how at my regular prenatal appointment they told me my pulse and blood pressure were both too high. Basically, she sent me down to have an EKG done and it came back showing tachycardia and she made me appointments for Monday for an echo, and to have a 24 hour holter monitor put on. She had told me to come in Friday to have my blood pressure and pulse checked. I went in and BP was still a little high but not concerning, pulse when I first walked in was 154 just from the walk from the waiting room to the exam room,  and after they made me rest for 30 minutes and checked again it was 139. It stays at 90 until I get up, the smallest bit of activity makes it go up so much and it takes so long to go back to normal. She told me to cancel any plans for this weekend and to be on complete bed rest until all that testing is done Monday to see what exactly is going on, and she also wants me to see a cardiologist that same day to discuss any issues I've noticed, like shortness of breath and palpitations. I'm worried about it all, but I'm also freaking out because my husband works so much, and we just moved to a new place and I can't really help him get everything put up and clean, or make dinner and grocery shop, plus we don't have the nursery even close to being done and I feel horrible for it to all be thrown on him 😔 he hasn't complained at all, he's just worried about my health but I can't imagine how stressed he must be. She also made it pretty clear that there's a big chance I'll be on bed rest the remainder of the pregnancy. I'm bored just thinking about it 😭😭 how am I supposed to stay in bed when there's so much to do in so little time?
