Bleeding between periods

I’m getting super frustrated because everywhere I read, it says “The first three months of being on birth control, you can experience breakthrough bleeding”. That’s fine and all but this is MORE than that. I have been on birth control since 2.18 due to a small fibroid causing me to bleed for two weeks straight. When I got my first period from this pack, it lasted 5 days which was great but then 6 days go by and all of a sudden, I’m bleeding again. It has not been 1 week and 6 days since I’ve been bleeding and my period is due to start next week. I’ve been taken my blue pills as normal but starting tomorrow, I’m supposed to be on the white ones. I went to see a fertility specialist yesterday because me and my wife want to start trying but I’ll be the one carrying. He advised me I could stop after this last blue pill (today) but he didn’t seem too phased by the breakthrough bleeding. I am not wearing a super tampon (was wearing a regular and then a pad when I went to sleep) and I don’t know what to do. I called my OB-GYN and she just keeps saying it’s normal. IT DOESNT FEEL NORMAL.
