Weeping Excema -updated

Lyn

Our almost 4 month old has a bad case of weeping excema on her face that started 2 days ago. Her 4 month appointment is this week, so the pediatrician says antibiotic ointment until then. Lotions aren’t helping at this point and I can tell she’s uncomfortable. Anyone have any additional suggestions? I’ve been eliminating diet items so we’ll see if that helps at all. Thanks!

After seeing a pediatric allergist she has been diagnosed with eczema. 7 days on ceflex did not heal her facial wound so she was swabbed to see what else might work. Allergist recommended daily lukewarm baths with vanicream bar soap and vanicream lotion which has been working well for her body. Her face is another story. Daily Zyrtec for itching, 1% hydro cream for patches and mupirocin ointment for the wound. I’ve rewashed every item of clothing and blankets with All free and clear and have stopped eating dairy, eggs and nuts. I’m not sure what else to do. This seems like it is going to be a long rod.
