My BBT dips the day I ovulate and then rises the next couple days. 
Not everyone’s dip but you should definitely see increased temps after you ovulate. ❤️

Answer

Some people get a dip just before ovulation but that’s not required nor does it guarantee ovulation is coming if you have a dip. Once you ovulate within 24 hours there will be a sustained temp rise to show that ovulation has happened. For some it’s slow and some it shoots up but it will be sustained above the pre ovulation temps 
Essentially the only thing that is constant in BBT across everyone’s charts is the sustained temp rise
