What is the likelihood of your doc doing the genetic testing to find out the gender of your baby?

My doctor asked me if I wanted to do the panorama test to test for any abnormalities & the gender. I couldn’t get it until 10 weeks & my insurance covered it. It wasn’t for any medical reason either, it was completely optional.

My practice offers it to all patients regardless of if they are at risk or not, though it is optional. I called with the procedure and billing codes and my insurance fully covers it, so I’m getting the Downs and genetically chromosomal blood testing at 11w2d which will tell gender (bc they check for sex abnormalities in the chromosomes). I’m in NJ.
