Pretty sure my water is slowly breaking?

Went to use the bathroom & my underwear were wet. Clear & non smelling. Could that be the start of my water breaking???

My dr recommends putting on a pad and laying down for an hour, if the pad is soaked or you feel a “gush” when you get up, it’s most likely your water, and you should go get checked..
Otherwise it’s probably just discharge. Also, if it’s “sticky” it’s discharge.

With my last baby, I had a “high leak” so I experienced this. Went to L&D; and had a swab done and tested positive for amniotic fluid. If you think that’s what it is it wouldn’t hurt to get checked. The worst that could happen is that it’s not amniotic fluid and you get sent home!

I told my doctor this was one of my fears at my appt last week, and he said even if your water does start to leak instead of fully breaking it will still spur you in to active labor regardless. So unless you start having contractions, cramping, or bleeding- it likely wasn’t your water.

maybe or it's just a little urine leaking...I'm having the same dilemma today!

It could be but it could also just be discharge unless you are feeling little gushes. Change position and see if it happens again.
