Owlet sock?

Question

Does anyone have one and love it? I really want to invest in it, but I have heard mixed reviews. I'd love to hear opinions from those who have one. Thank you!

I have one and I really love it!! I'm a FTM and I'm a natural worrier so this was definitely a great purchase. Sometimes the alarm goes off if the sock isn't in the right place or if you go too far from the base station but overall I'm really glad we got one!

We have it and like it! We moved LO to his crib around 10 weeks and it helped me have peace of mind. Occasionally the sock placement is off which makes an alarm go off but you get pretty good at putting it

I just got one but am still waiting on the baby to arrive.   I also considered the Snuza but I like that the Owlet also measures blood oxygen levels.   I'm an older FTM and am quite concerned about SIDS as my mom had a stillborn baby so I'm hoping that having the extra safety measure will help me be a little less stressed.

I didn’t have a clue what these was till googled it, then realised it’s what they use in special care when you have a premi baby monitor there oxygen levels (my oldest was born 33wks), from my own experience of my son being hooked up to one of these for 1st 16days of his life I was always monitoring him and didn’t actually feel that relax and panic a lot when his oxygen dropped and I would call the nurse as the alarm would go off but they would check on him and he was fine. when I brought him home he obviously didn’t have the machine on him anymore, I watched over him like a hawk slowly I began to relax and let my mothering instinct kick in and enjoy my newborn.. honestly I think if I had one of them at home I would of been to panicking over the slightest thing and calling the hospital., that’s my experience anyways.. for someone else it might give them peace of mind defo wouldn’t for me stress me out to much.lol

I wanted one but did a lot of research and went with the Snuza Hero instead. Baby’s not born yet but it had a lot of great reviews and a coworker recommended it. It’s much more affordable as well and attaches to their diaper instead of foot.

I have it and like it. It took some time to properly place the sock, but it’s nice to check the app and make sure everything’s good. It is a bit sensitive at times but it’s better than the opposite, I suppose!
