Why did I bleed

So it’s the second time this has happened me and my SO were messing around a bit he fingered me and I bled it’s the second time this happens (but not the second time in a row) he didn’t cut me with his nails, they were trimmed and had no sharp edges he checked that same day I bleed so what could it be??
