prodromal labor?

so this is my 7th baby and I've been having horrible contractions.. come to find out it's prodromal labor...where u have real contractions but they never turn into active labor.  I was told I could have to deal with this for 4 weeks which is what I have left.. anyone else have this?

I've been having contractions every 1-2 minutes for 2 weeks. Luckily, they don't hurt. Maybe three throughout the day feel like cramps. Went to L&D; a couple days ago, because I'm showing a lot of signs of pre-eclampsia, and they were more concerned with the contractions. Gave me the shot to stop them, they stopped but came back after 35 minutes. They were confused as to why I wasn't in constant pain haha. They pretty much told me that they're not going to stop until I give birth. Told me to come back in if they get painful or more intense. But, yay for turning into a rolly-polly every couple minutes for the next 5 weeks.

I had a friend go through this and it does not sound fun, I am sorry you are having to deal with it!

Meeeeeeee! I’ve been having it since Thursday and I am dying. I keep thinking the contractions will keep up but they don’t. Today they were harder than they’ve been before, but after 2 hours fizzled away again. It’s painful and really frustrating.
