Brown discharge 14 weeks
Hello! Just wanted to let you know about my experience and keep you informed. Yesterday it was the orthodox Easter and we went to a big feast with live music, food and dancing. It was outdoors and I felt I was cold and tired by sitting all day and waiting to leave (I only danced 10 minutes). Also, it is a custom here, they occasionally shoot in the air (it's not a real gun, just sounds like it) and every time I was scared because I wasn't waiting for this abrupt loud banging. So today I woke up and found out I had quite a bit of brown discharge with clots coming out. I was scared because the other time I had seen lots of brown blood I had miscarried at 6 weeks. Currently at 14&2days and my doctor was not preoccupied over the phone, but me and my husband found a local ob and visited him for an us. Baby is well, just as my ob predicted when I called. Brown blood and discharge was caused by a blood vessel of the placenta, which is still close to the cervix (it gets higher as pregnancy progresses) and it was probably because of the exhausting day I had yesterday (plus the scary shooting may have caused minor cramps, hence the bleeding).
I have also noticed some minor brown stretchy discharge earlier in this pregnancy, around 8 weeks and it was nothing. So far, so good! Just to let you know, blood is not always a sign of mc!
