Can dogs sense pregnancy?

I'm 12 weeks pregnant and my dog will not leave me alone. Whenever I sit down he loves to sit on my knee, leaning on my stomach! He did it before I was pregnant, but not to this degree. Does anyone else's dog do the same? Can they sense it?

I used to be a vet major.. and your answer is Yes, animals can sense far more then humans. They are usually the first ones to tell us that we are pregnant lol. they can smell a change and energy wise too.

Yes they can! Your hormones changing has a lot to do with your dog being able to notice you’re pregnant. My dog has been very protective of me and will not even let me use the restroom in peace! Lol

My cat did. She actually was the first to know. Her suspicious behavior led me to take a test 5 days before my missed period.
