How did you conceive twins?

Answer

Twins don’t come from the fathers side at all.. if they are hereditary it would be from the mothers side, some kind of allele. So it’s possible I am a carrier my grandmother had twin sisters but I have to find out if they were identical, because if so then no allele since identical twins are totally random. I am assuming my twins are fraternal though they are separate sacks and placentas, but if the egg split early enough they could be identical lol. Don’t know sexes. But my guess is that I released two eggs that fertilized because I had super irregular cycles! And I’m over 30.

Just luck, no other twins in my family. This pregnancy was a surprise to begin with, and was supposed to be our last baby also. So, extra shocked to find out there are 2!

My husband and I do not have any twins on either side of our families and we found out we are having twins. It was a HUGE shock.

My first set is identical. Second set we wont know till born. we are team green. 
identical are random and don't run in families. We don't have twins in our families at all. 
would be neat to have two sets of identicals.

Conceived naturally I have distance cousins on both sides that have twins never thought I’d have them so much for third child being my last but these little ones will be the last two!!! Mo/di twins due nov 2018
