Would you take an 8 month old on a family trip to Mexico?

My husband says he will not be taking our baby to Mexico this winter because he thinks it’s not safe to travel with a baby. So now that we will have a baby we can’t go. I’m so taken back by this because my family has always traveled with little babies and no one has ever thought twice? My sister took her 2 month old to Mexico last year. (My whole family goes to Mexico every year, him and I have gone the last 4 years since we have been together)

So my question is.... is my husband being crazy or am I not being a responsible parent? 😂

We stay at a gated resort with a private beach, we will have our own room. I really don’t see why he feels like this.
