Nuchal Translucency Ultrasound done this morning
This was something we chose to do because my insurance covered the cost 100%. I still have my second trimester blood test to do to complete the testing but so far things are looking good (and if they weren’t our minds wouldn’t be changed anyways).
My first two ultrasounds (at 8w/11w) were both transvaginal and extremely brief.
Today I had my first pelvic ultrasound and it was an amazing experience. They spent about 30 minutes and looked at everything and I got to see it all.
They also gave me a cd with pictures.
My entire family has opted out of doing this testing so I am the first to have this done. Two of my sisters and my mother all chose to not do this and their reasoning was they would keep their baby no matter what.
Like I’ve said though the results wouldn’t change my mind and if anything could possibly just prepare me if there were to be anything wrong. This is my first pregnancy but If/when I have another I will definitely be doing this again!
