Good labor and delivery experiences?

FTM here and I feel like so many people tell me how awful the experience is. Now I’m 2 months from my due date and nervous about the experience. Looking for some positive birth stories from people to ease the mind a bit... it’s not always terrible!?

My experience wasn’t even close to what I imagined it to be.
I was feeling some pressure down there and some cramps so I just ate dinner and called it a night. I woke up at 2 am and my shorts were wet.. realized my water is breaking and just waited it out with my Bf at home until I was ready to go to the hospital. The contractions were bearable. Felt like a super sour tummy ache when they came. 
Went to the hospital around 3. They tested my fluid to confirm my water broke, and within that time my contractions were getting stronger. I planned to go all natural but I told the nurses I might change my mind. 
Around 4 am I was dilated to a 6! I was begging for pain relief. 
Around 6 I finally got into a labor room and they hooked me up to an IV to get me ready for an Epi, but nope! I was already at 9 cm and baby was ready to come. 
I just stayed in tuned with my body and put myself in my own zone. 
I pushed for what felt like 10 mins and my son was born 7lbs 18 in. No complications. 
I had a 2nd degree tear but didn’t notice it.
I looked like crap after he came so idk how some moms look runway ready after haha.
 Overall I was really happy to be able to go all natural with my first baby (I’m 4’10 so I’m a small lady). The recovery wasn’t bad. I was able to walk right after with some support. I did feel like I got hit by a bus tho, so just a heads up lol. 
Recovery only took a few weeks and then I felt like normal.

Of course not! My in-laws made it terrible for me. The actual process? Just fine. I had an epidural because I couldn't handle back labor. Unfortunately nurses had a shift Change and it took 2 hours to get more. By the time they go it to me, I was ready to push. I pushed without pain relief for 15 minutes. I had a first or second degree tear, I can't remember. It was absolutely beautiful, disgusting for sure. But beautiful. As soon as they put my daughter on my chest I felt nothing. No pain. Nothing. Absolute bliss. I've never been so happy and at peace in my life. Don't stress about labor, look forward to that perfect little person you made ❤️

My labor and delivery was AWESOME. I was 1 cm and 80% effaced when I went in to be induced. I was in labor 4 hours before I had him. I chose the epidural so I felt NOTHING. They had to tell me when to push. I only had to have 2 stitches from tearing but after the epidural wore off I was up and walking with no pain within an hour. The only pain I had was when I went to pee. If you use the bottle they give you it’s bearable. Oh and make sure you start stool softeners in the hospital.

so leading up to my labor was dramatic. car wreck at 31 weeks exactly. had surgery while pregnant to repair my shattered leg and heel. lots and lots of pain. i lose my mucus plug the day before surgery which was a week after the wreck, my water partially breaks the night after surgery. still no baby. she plans to induce me at 35 weeks. at 34 weeks and one day my back hurts all day but my nurse brushes it off as pain from being in a hopsital bed for so long. i wasnt allowed out bc i couldnt walk. she was my least fave. that night my angel night nurse comes in and i tell her and shes like dont tell me that. ill be in to check u in a min. girl i was 4cm dilated. within 45min had my water broke all the way, and an epidural. 730pm-231am i laughed, chomped on ice, and was completely pain free. i pushed for 50min he was my first and at 231 he came out at 34 weeks and 1 day. seriously easiest labor ever. praying for the same with my daughter next month lol dont worry not everyone has a horrible labor!

My L&D; nurses advocates for me, pushed for additional tests, followed their intuition and ended up saving my life. Which could not have been done anywhere outside the hospital setting.

My labor was a dream. I was induced and I was pretty nervous because everyone says how terrible it is, but I got pitocin at 7am, got the epidural right after, never felt any pain. Pushed for 20min and had her at 4:37pm.
