No period and trying to get pregnant

Hi y’all, so I have a bit of a problem.

I got off of birth control December 22, had a period December 25th and have not had another since then. My doctor has done a pelvic ultrasound to make sure everything was ok, and it was.... I asked her if there was something she could prescribe me to start my period and she said she wanted to make me get an endometrial biopsy to determine if I had cancer before prescribing me anything?!!

Does this make any sense to y’all? All I want is to take something to start my period and she is telling me she can’t... I thought there was medication that could help with that? HELP!!! My husband and I are trying to have a family and I’m getting so disappointed with all of this. 😭
