Love is something that grows as both parties nurture and take care of it. I don’t believe in love at first sight, this is usually lust at first sight. I also don’t believe you can love someone that you have met a few months ago. You can be head over heels, liking someone to the moon and back, with your hormones all over the place (especially the first year). 
Real love comes when you hormone levels are going back to normal again, when your relationship has gotten “normal”, when you have gotten to know a person by going through the good and the bad. Having shared life experiences, learned together, worked through each other’s short comings and even when times get rough you choose each other over and over again. 
Love changes and its not something you get easy. It’s a beautiful thing to give and receive, but you have to take care of it. If you don’t you can lose it. Lots of people confuse that first explosive feeling of lust and liking someone a lot with love (I was one of them in my younger years too), but time is the best teacher. Someday they will see the difference. Just don’t settle for less and at the same time keep real expectations because nobody is perfect.

I truly believe in term of relationships, first second love or whatever is fake love. I don’t believe in love at first sight in that sense, i believe you can feel a lot of “like” or “crush” & lust at first sight but it’s not love no matter what anyone tells me. Love is developed.
