4th miscarriage after healthy child- only 27 years old

Chloe

I hate that we’re part of this group, but since we’re here, I thought I’d ask some advice.

I have a two year old daughter who is perfectly healthy and we want her to have a sibling so we started trying about 7 months ago to have another baby. Since then I’ve had 4 miscarriages.

1. I got pregnant in August, miscarried at 5 weeks.

2. Then got pregnant again in October, baby died at 6 weeks but my body didn’t miscarry naturally so I had a D&C; at 10 weeks.

3. Got pregnant again in January, miscarried at 5 weeks.

4. Got pregnant again in March, miscarried at 5 weeks.

After the 3rd miscarriage I got tested for thyroid problems, diabetes, blood clotting disorders, and chromosomal abnormalities as well as a scan of my uterus. Everything came back completely normal. Oh and I’m only 27 so there’s that too.

My husband and I are at a loss at what to do. My doctor still thinks it’s just bad luck but I just don’t know. We plan on trying one more time and I’m going to take progesterone and baby aspirin to see if that helps. If I miscarry again, we’re going to stop trying until we figure out what’s wrong.

Sorry for the long post, but if any of you have a similar story, I’d love to hear it. It’s hard because I know I can have children- I have a perfectly healthy toddler- and our infertility is not due to age so that rules out a ton of people in these fertility groups. I’d just really love to speak with someone who’s been through something similar.
