FT moms who are step moms too

First off I'd like to say that we have full custody of my SD, so she lives with us full time. For those of you who are step parents and first time mother's/mothers, was it hard to come home after the baby was born and automatically jump into the fact you are a mom of two? Like was it hard to adjust having a baby and a child? I've been around children my whole life, but I wasn't around SD when she was born and through those years. By no means am I looking for judgement for this question because I love my SD like crazy, I'm just wondering what it's like to go from being a childless step mom to a full time mom of 2.
