I loved my epidural. I was in the worst pain of my life, my oxygen levels were low. I had the epidural done, was in so much pain I couldn’t even feel the needle. The pain went away after the epidural, I took a nice long nap and woke up ready to push. The removal was quick and I swear I was moving soon after they took it out. I had no adverse effects.

Took three tries to get it positioned correctly and had mild to severe pain for until I was around 4 mo pp but still considering it an option with baby #2

Wouldn’t recommend, recovery is worst when you have it. I just had the IV medication with my second and preferred it 100x more over the epidural like I did with my first

mine was placed perfectly. could still move my legs and flip when needed but worn off by the time I needed my emergency c-section

My mom couldn’t walk for 2-3 days after hers with my sister & had to have a catheter lol

Yes! The first go went pretty bad. The needle was in but he ended up hitting a nerve. There was a very loud pop sound and I felt it in my butt. He had to pull the needle out and do it over. I told him to not tell me what that was until he was successful and we were done. He was able to get it on the second try quickly. He told me what had happened and I only needed to worry about postpartum migraines. Only because he nicked the vein, and I had no pain because of it. I ended up without migraines as well. It could have been a bigger deal, but it just wasn't. I would still get an epidural if I needed to again.

was scared and on the fence to get one, decided to do the laughing gas first, that was awful! didn't help pain and made me sick. was so miserable so I asked for the epidural and it was way less scary then I thought! it was a little uncomfortable to get it in only because they tried between contractions. I'm pretty sure it ran on in the last half hour of pushing so that sucked but I would recommend it
