Sleeping arrangements for your twins?

Question

I'm just curious to see how and what is working for you! Do you have them in bed with you? In their own cribs, do they share a crib? Bassinets? Do they each have their own playpen or do they share during the day? 
Having two of EVERYTHING seems like too much! lol I want my twins to share a crib for the first maybe 3 months, while they are small. And then go from there 🤔
Can you share what's working with your family... please! 
And no bashing another moms way of doing things! I really want honest answers, not PC versions of answers.

I co-slept with my singletons, but was too afraid to do it with the twins. So far they are my best sleepers. They started out in a twin bassinet then at 3 months I put them in the crib together and they have been sleeping through the night ever since.

We started out with both of them in a co sleeper right beside our bed. They are breastfed so I would pull them into bed and fall asleep as they ate. When the other woke he would go back in bed and I fed the other.. all night long unless I woke for no reason and had a baby in bed I would sometimes put him back in bed just so I didn’t have to worry about having a baby next to me. I think you sleep deeper if you don’t. So the co sleeper got to small. We got a convertible crib, put it together except we put the toddler bed side on one side so we could put it right next to our bed. Stuff a towel and blanket into the crack and their mattress is exactly the same level as ours and so we continue doing the same thing as always. It works absolutely wonderfully for us. We always start the night out with both of them in their bed. Usually till morning we’ll have both in bed with us because if I know we’ll be getting up soon I don’t bother putting the other back. And so we wake up and snuggle and chill altogether for a few minutes :) as far as twos of everything. No. We had 1 swing... usually your taking care of one and have the other in the swing, 2 bumbos (didn’t necessarily need any, let alone two... they didn’t like them ) 2 high chairs... those are a good thing, 2 boppys and that’s it. My babies were good babies and still are. We really didn’t need much. They do love their jumpers once they are older. I borrowed those. Borrowed one walker as well. Thats all we needed and it was plenty. My babies didn’t get to having to rely on baby gadgets to be happy. Though I realize some babies are a lot fussier than mine were and you might want say, one swing and one bouncer, if that’s the only way they are gonna be happy while you get yourself some food etc. we have a play pen but I rarely use it. I often just lay them on the couch to sleep. For some reason my babies always knew where the edge was and would never roll off. So that worked fine for us during the day. That way I could lay down with them and sleep next to them if I needed a nap during the day. They sleep longer if your next to them.

I would like to know too what other moms are doing! We have been looking at the Pack and Plays with the twin bassinet insert for when they are little and then moving to separate cribs.

I’m currently 30 weeks and 4 days and I’m using the twin room2 it’s a playpen but it has a separate bed that you buy separately to put on the top of it with a divider and that’s what I’ll be using until there a little bit bigger to go in their own crib!

Me and my husband tried bedside bassinets, cribs, cosleepers, the whole 9 yards but we ended up letting out twin girls sleep in the bed with us. I breastfed up until 6 months so it was easier that way for us personally. They are 8 months old now and absolutely refuse to sleep in a crib. There are pros and cons to everything but I personally have grown to love my twins in bed with me (we had to buy a king bed so we would all fit lol) it’s great bonding! But you have to do what works best for you every family is different 🙂

I plan on using a combination of a pack and play with a bassinet top and co sleeping. till 6 months. this is what I did with our single babies and it has always worked. my boys, even though I hated it, would only sleep in a carseat, so we would put them in a wrap and then put them in a carseat then put that in the bassinet of the pack and play and buckle the chest clip of their carseat. I really fought it for a long time but it did work for them. they have always been great sleepers. this time I was not going to get a rock and play but when I found out it was twins I knew I would need and extra hand so I got one and might get another but we will see. but it would also make me feel better to let them sleep in a rock and play than a carseat. I tried to not co sleep but I have never had any issues with it and even if I try I am sure at some point they will sleep with me. I am going to put an extra mattress in the top of the pack and play bassinet. I think it would help with trying to co sleep less because my  babies I think my just prefer the softness of my mattress and be safer in their own. if I ever felt like they were in significant danger I would stop co sleeping but I have so far never thought that. what I have been wondering is should I get  two normal size cribs or the smaller size. I don't see my self using the larger size for a toddler bed I think I want to make low platform beds when they are older. plus I want to have a rocker/ reading corner in their room and smaller beds would b
give me more space. but I already have two cribs from my 3 year old and 1 year old so I feel like I should use at least one of those.

For my Singleton, we used a babytrend pack n play with a bassinet (the nursery Center version) and it worked out really well. He was in our room until about 4 months then he really needed to be in his crib so he could sleep and we could sleep (doctor suggested it and the timing really was prefect- he’s a great sleeper still at almost 2 yrs old!) . I plan on getting the twin version of the same babytrend pack n play because the bassinets clip to the sides of the pack n play so they’re sturdier than the Graco version. My mom friends who had twins said the Graco version would cause the babies to roll towards the middle aka too close to the side of the bassinet.

My boys are almost 2 1/2 months.  We tried having them in a pack-n-play for the first week but they both hated it, so I moved them into their own rock-n-plays which they love!! We have one that rocks back and forth and have the other leg set on top so it rocks as well(old hand me down that didn’t have a motor).  I plan on keeping them in these till they are 4-5 months old and then they will share a crib for a few more months and then be in their own.  I also have a bed in their room that I sleep in every night.  My husband has to get up super early for work so I decided to sleep in the twins room to let him get sleep and also to get the boys used to being in their room.  Every once in a while one of the boys needs calming down so they will sleep in bed with me but for the most part they stay in their rock-n-plays
