I hate seeing people discourage moms from breastfeeding when their babies have colic. I'm in a colic support group and anytime a mom is looking for help the first question is what formula is he/she on. If they aren't on formula people just push it and say "oh well my baby is on this and it helped". And as for nursing a colicky baby, every single person tells me it's something I'm eating that's causing it. As if it's that simple. I'm almost 8 months in with this. I know a lot of babies do have milk protein allergies etc however I don't feel like the problem ALWAYS has to be breastfeeding! I just feel bad for the moms who truly want to breastfeed and get convinced that if they stop their baby will be happier. I wish moms had more support with their nursing journeys. Rant over.
