How long does spotting last when trying the pill for the first time?

I started taking the pill a couple of weeks ago. Five days ago I started spotting and it doesn’t seem like it will stop anytime soon. Is this normal? Does spotting normally last that long?

Answer

I started the pill in early feb, after missing two periods I had spotting for a few days then I got a period but it was dark coloured this period went on for 4 weeks and after 1/2 weeks it was red and ended like a normal period.
