How did you tell SO you're pregnant?

Question

I just want to hear some fun stories on how you told your SO about your pregnancy announcement.  Did you plan a surprise?  I want mine to be really special ( if I can keep a secret) 😉

I was thinking about when I get a BFP to put it in a box with tissue paper and wrap it like a present and give to him as a surprise.  ☺️

I had grand plans of surprising the hubby, but it didn't go down that way. When I got pregnant with my first, we hadn't started trying yet. We were planning on starting that September, in June I was super emotional and my boobs were killing me. The day before I was expecting AF, we were running errands and I picked up a test. He said: do you think you're pregnant? And I said: no, it's just precautionary. So when we got home at 10 pm, I tested for the heck of it. And it came up positive. I didn't even know what to do, I was crying and shaking. I came out of the bathroom crying, holding the test. And he was like: Jess, what's wrong? I couldn't speak so I just handed him the test and he looked at my with a complete look of shock. And then we hugged for a long time. He insisted I take another test (I had gotten a Two pack) so I chugged some water and tested a while later, and it immediately came up positive. We barely slept that might because we were so excited!

I was so sick head cold coughing ect. I bought a prgnancy test because some one  told me I might be pregnant.  I took it at work then found out I was. I called him crying because we stopped trying but we weren't preventing.

I know me well enough that I can't keep a secret lol

Mine was pretty unspecial because I couldn't wait. My husband had come home from work early because he was really tired. I had missed my period that day (this was last Monday). I didn't tell him I was going to take a test. While he was napping on the couch in the basement, I took a couple tests. One dollar store and one First Response digital. The dollar store one appeared with a line first and I was like OMG that's a line. Then I kept darting my head back and forth between the two tests somewhat hyperventilating and waiting for the digital to pop up. It popped up with a yes and my heart started racing even faster and I was shaking. I started crying, poured the pee out quick, and ran downstairs to tell my husband. He was half asleep and saw me crying and holding the tests. He assumed I had bad news because I was crying and later told me he thought "here we go again...I'm going to have to calm her down." Then I showed him the tests and was like "I'm pregnant." Crying. He was like are your serious?!? And we hugged, said we were going to have a little one, and it was a sweet moment. He said he wishes he hadn't been sleeping and was more awake but he wasn't upset I didn't wait. We then went out for Mexican food to celebrate.

We had a MC in Feb, but it was 5:45am when I tested in January, soI woke him up to confirm the 2nd line.
