Helpppp

I started birth control a few days before my period thinking it will stop it, but instead my period still came so on the 3 day of my period I stopped taking the birth control and it’s now been 4 days since I stopped the birth control and I have been on my period for 7 days and the flow is still pretty heavy, I do notice more discharge and I usually only have a 5-6 days period. Is it normal that I am still bleeding and how long will it take for it to stop? Is this normal after just taking birth control for a few days ?
