Building credit

Is it smart to build credit from scratch by buying a car from the dealership? I’m in my 20’s & I still don’t understand a lot of these adulting stuff lol i wanna build credit i just don’t know much about how to, i also wanna build it in a smart way not be on debt for the sake of it. I don’t have no one to ask really so i go on google but i decided to come on here & ask you ladies. Thanks in advance!
